What We Collect

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which tools are popular. It records usage data such as pages visited, time on site, browser type and approximate location (country or city). We only see aggregated reports and cannot tell who you are.

When you use a tool, we also record the tool's name and whether it started, produced a result (a download, a copy, or a result shown on the page, such as a calculation or a decoded QR code), or showed an error. We never record file names, file contents, text you type, or the wording of error messages, since those can contain your own input.

We do not collect your name, email, or anything you put into the tools. There are no accounts and no forms that submit data. We don't set any cookies of our own; Google Analytics sets its own cookies, described below.

What We Don't Collect

All tools on Fair Toolbox run entirely in your browser. The files you convert, the text you paste, the passwords you generate, and any other data you input are processed locally on your device using JavaScript. None of your input data is ever sent to our servers or any third party.

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics (GA4) — used for anonymous visit counting. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) on this site to distinguish returning visitors. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. It does not honour the browser's Do Not Track setting, so to opt out use Google's Google Analytics Opt-out add-on or a content blocker; the tools work exactly the same either way.

Netlify — hosts the website. Netlify may log IP addresses in server access logs as part of standard web hosting. We do not access these logs.

Fair Toolbox and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from the use of these tools, including but not limited to data loss, incorrect calculations, or file corruption. Use at your own discretion.

Changes

We may update this page from time to time. Since we don't collect emails or have accounts, we can't notify you of changes — but the page will always reflect the current policy.
