Barcode Generator
Generate barcodes in multiple formats. Free, no signup.
How It Works
Enter text or numbers and select a barcode format. The barcode renders instantly and can be downloaded as a PNG image. CODE128 supports any text, while EAN and UPC formats require specific digit counts. Everything is generated in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Common Uses
Barcodes are handy for labelling home or small-business inventory, tagging assets and equipment, organizing a personal library or media collection, and preparing product labels. Choose CODE128 for free-form text such as SKUs or asset tags, and a retail format like EAN-13 or UPC-A when you have an official product number to encode.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a barcode online for free?
Type the text or numbers you want to encode, choose a barcode format from the dropdown, and the barcode renders instantly. Click Download PNG to save it as an image. It is completely free with no signup.
Which barcode formats are supported?
You can generate CODE128 (any text), EAN-13 (13 digits), UPC-A (12 digits), EAN-8 (8 digits), CODE39 (alphanumeric), and ITF-14 (14 digits). CODE128 is the most flexible if you are not sure which to use.
Why does my barcode show an invalid input error?
The retail formats require an exact digit count: EAN-13 needs 13 digits, UPC-A needs 12, EAN-8 needs 8, and ITF-14 needs 14. If your input does not match the selected format's rules, an error appears. Switch to CODE128 to encode arbitrary text.
Can I download the barcode as an image?
Yes. Click Download PNG and the barcode is saved as a PNG file named barcode.png. It is rendered at double resolution on a white background so it stays sharp when printed or placed on labels.
Are the barcodes generated privately in my browser?
Yes. The barcode is drawn entirely in your browser with JavaScript and nothing you type is uploaded to a server. Your data stays on your device.
