PDF splitting is useful when you need to extract specific pages from a large document — for example, pulling a single chapter from a book, extracting an invoice from a statement, or sending just the relevant pages of a report. Because each page becomes its own file, you can keep only the ones you need and discard the rest.

This tool always produces one PDF per page, which is the most flexible starting point. If you want a specific set of pages back in a single document — say pages 3 through 6 — download those individual pages and drop them into the PDF Merge tool to join them in order. Both tools run entirely in your browser, so your document is never uploaded at any step.

What are the split files named?
Each downloaded page is named after your original file with a page number added, for example document-page-1.pdf, document-page-2.pdf, and so on, so they stay in order on your computer.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere when I split it?
No. Splitting is done in your browser with the pdf-lib library, so the file never leaves your device. This makes it safe for contracts, statements, and other private documents.
