How do I crop an image online?

What format is the cropped image saved in?
The cropped result is always saved as a PNG, named your-file-cropped.png. PNG is lossless, so the cut-out keeps the same quality as the original pixels.
Does cropping reduce the image quality or resolution?
No. The selection is mapped back to the full-resolution image, so the crop keeps the original pixel density. The file only contains the region you selected, at its native resolution.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Cropping runs entirely in your browser on an HTML canvas, so your images never leave your device and nothing is uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere.
If I crop out sensitive details, does the original still get uploaded?
No. Nothing is uploaded at any point. The full image is loaded into the page, cropped on your device, and only the cropped result is saved — the part you removed is never transmitted anywhere.
Is there a file size limit for cropping?
No. Large images are limited only by your browser's memory, not by an upload cap.
